1. Nature of the Service

TAYSTUDIO ("the Service") provides a collection of free everyday browser tools. The English version (/en/) currently offers 43 universal tools: 8 calculators (compound interest, savings, loan, BMI, calorie/TDEE, body fat, ideal weight, D-Day), 3 text tools (character counter, special characters & emoji, ASCII art banner), 17 image tools (compress, resize, WebP/AVIF format convert, HEIC→JPG, crop, combine, watermark, mosaic/blur, ID/passport photo, QR generate, QR scan, OCR, background remover, EXIF/GPS remover, GIF compressor, color picker, favicon generator), 10 PDF tools (merge, split, edit, watermark/page numbers/metadata, image→PDF, PDF→image, encrypt, unlock, e-sign, edit & annotate), and 5 video tools (compress, trim, rotate, video→GIF, MP3 extract). Korean-specific tools (Korean tax law, real estate law, labor law) are available on the Korean version (/) and are not translated. Tools may be added or updated at any time. The Service can be used freely without signup or login.

2. Accuracy Disclaimer (Most Important)

The tools on this Service are simple helper tools based on general formulas, standards, and open-source libraries, with the following limitations:

Calculators (/en/tools/) — Compound interest and savings calculations are based on standard formulas (FV = PV × (1+r)^n etc.) and do not reflect taxes, fees, or jurisdiction-specific rules. Loan calculations use standard amortization without origination fees, points, PMI, or local closing costs. BMI uses WHO classification and may not be accurate for athletes, the elderly, children, pregnant or lactating women.
Image tools (/en/image/) — AI-based tools like OCR (image text extraction) and background removal are not 100% accurate; results must always be reviewed by the user. Quality varies with image resolution, language, and background complexity.
PDF tools (/en/pdf/) — Page merge, split, edit, image conversion, and password removal are performed via libraries such as pdf-lib (JavaScript), pdf.js, and qpdf (WebAssembly), depending on the tool. Output PDFs/images must be reviewed to confirm intended pages, order, and rotation. Password-protected PDFs, some interactive form fields, and digital signatures may produce different results.
Health calculators (BMI, calorie/TDEE, body fat, ideal weight) — Estimates for general adults based on standard formulas (Mifflin-St Jeor 1990, Harris-Benedict, U.S. Navy method, Devine/Robinson/Miller/Hamwi). They do not replace medical diagnosis or prescription. Pregnant or lactating women, people with chronic conditions or metabolic disorders, and those under 19 may have different actual needs and should consult a healthcare professional.
The Service must not be relied upon for legal, financial, or medical decisions. For actual filings, contracts, or treatment, please consult licensed professionals (tax accountants, attorneys, doctors, financial advisors).

3. Limitation of Liability

The operator is not liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from the use of the Service. Users use the results at their own risk and should always verify with official sources before relying on them.

4. Advertising and Affiliates

The Service may display ads and affiliate links (e.g. Coupang Partners) to cover operating costs. If so, the operator may receive a commission on purchases made through them, but the price you pay is not affected.

5. Copyright and Sources

The Service's code and design are owned by the operator. The formulas applied to each calculator are derived from public-domain references (WHO, U.S. Navy, FDIC/NCUA, etc.); the source for each tool is noted at the bottom of its page.

6. Prohibited Conduct

Excessive automated access (bots, scrapers) to the Service
Unauthorized copying of the code/design to operate an identical service
Click fraud or other interference with the Service's operation

7. Changes to These Terms

The operator may revise these Terms as needed; any changes will be posted on this page with the effective date.

8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

The operator is based in the Republic of Korea. Disputes related to these Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, with the competent court at the operator's place of residence as the court of first instance, to the extent permitted by your local mandatory law.

9. Operator Notice

This site is a free service operated by an individual. There is no signup, login, or payment process, and no separate customer support channel.
